About the Company:

Our client is a leading professional sports team with a storied legacy and a loyal fan base. Known for their competitive spirit and commitment to community engagement, they are dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for fans both in and out of the stadium. They are looking for a seasoned Director of Ticket Sales to drive revenue and enhance the fan experience.

Position Overview:

The Director of Ticket Sales will be responsible for leading and managing the ticket sales department, developing strategies to maximize ticket revenue, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales, particularly within the sports or entertainment industries.

The ideal candidate will possess a competitive nature, the ability to stay focused under pressure, and the drive to continuously achieve and exceed targets. These attributes, combined with a passion for sports, will be key to excelling in this role and driving the team’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive ticket sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop the ticket sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Revenue Management: Optimize pricing, inventory, and sales initiatives to maximize revenue and attendance.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a top-tier customer experience, from initial ticket purchase through game day, to enhance fan loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with marketing, corporate partnerships, and other departments to create integrated sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with organizational policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in ticket sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience within the sports or entertainment industries is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Sales Skills: Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to enhancing the fan experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in sales reporting and CRM systems.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
