VP, Marketing - Sports Tech Startup
About the Team:
Our client is founded and led by extremely brilliant and passionate athletes, who played and coached at the collegiate and professional levels. Their first hand knowledge of the space has helped them create a unique product that is disrupting how their sport collects player data helping teams and athletes maximize their performance. Their partners include any of the top college programs across the USA as well as the US national governing body. They have found product market fit in one sport and have exciting growth targets ahead. Their grand vision includes expanding across sports.
Position Overview:
This is a great opportunity to get in leading the growth of a disruptive sports startup that’s already found product-market fit! This leader will own the brand and growth marketing efforts - leveraging athletes, creating content and leading campaigns - to help the company hit their aggressive sales tactics. This marketing leader must be an analytical thinker, measuring, testing and adjusting their strategies. This role will be working closely with the founder/CEO and COO.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Manage top of funnel marketing efforts driving lead generation to new customers.
- Marketing Campaigns: Create, manage and nurture powerful marketing campaigns.
- Content creation: Ideate and produce engaging marketing materials that build awareness of our product.
- Affiliate marketing campaigns: Launch and manage affiliate marketing programs with professional athletes across the US with an educational angle.
- Marketing Tests & Reporting: Analytically test, measure & adjust marketing efforts to drive peak results.

Skills & Experience You Will Bring:
- Industry experience: 5+ years of hands on marketing experience
- Startup experience: Understanding of what it's like to work at a small hungry team with growth pressure.
- Sports tech experience: Knowledge of marketing and strong relationships within the sports tech sector.
- Subscription model experience: Breathe of knowledge regarding how to market a product that has a subscription model.
- Competitive athletic mindset: Desire to win, improve and passionate about the company's success.
Location & Physical Location:
- Remote
- Flexible work hours, all about results
- Light travel - including team retreats and tradeshows
